GOOD mesh for body kit

Post by kornholio788 » Wed Jun 20, 2007 11:28 am

OK i just got my blitz bumper..And the mesh that is in there is black.. I want a nice chrome mesh to go in there. I dont want to use the gutter gaurd either cuz it loses its "shine" after a little bit. I have a black car with chrome rims so i really want something nice and thick..that isnt cheap and thin. Something that is below like 50 bucks..i have been told the apc mesh that u can get at like autozone but i have yet to go check it out..

WHat are your guys suggestions

If you want that nice ricey look get some chrome spraypaint and spray one thick coat in one direction.

I don't think chrome plating mesh is a good idea, you flex it when mounting and I imagine it would crack, but come to think of it paint would probably do the same.

Yup. And it only flexes if you're not careful with it. a friend of mine had his mesh chromed for his eclipse about 5 years ago, it looked real good for 3+ years. it still looks decent, but there are small cracks in it now. but none of the plating has flaked away.

i painted the regular home depot 7 bucks for like 8ft by like 3ft cut it to the length painted it bent it a whole shit load didnt crack once only reason i did it is for the ac compressor the rocks were beating the piss outta it so now i can have rocks hit the shield instead of it hitting my 300 dollar compressor
