Show off your die-cast and plastic car models

Post by Arro » Wed Jun 20, 2007 10:46 pm

Just a thread to show us your auto models and die-casts, whatever you got.

SRT-4 in Red and Solar Yellow, Viper GTS Competition Coupe:
Image

Image
Fullsize spare in hatch compartment.

Image
Detailed V10 engine.

Image
Foglights are there, you just can't see them in this picture.

Image
The valvecover says "2.4L TURBO" and "16 VALVE TWINCAM" in raised lettering.

Image
You can't see it, but the gauges actually have marked dials and the little half-moon digital readouts just like an actual 2G Neon cluster. The little boost gauge pod is there. The ACR seats are in there, too.

Image
It has the "DODGE" and "SRT-4" badges in silver (not decals, but painted on), in the proper places (though you can't see them here). The exhaust looks like the OEM SRT exhaust from underneath, complete with welded Y-junction.

1972 Datsun (by Nissan) Fairlady Z:
Image

Image

Image
Nice twin exit aftermarket exhaust.

Image
Huge "blinger/drifter" style wheels w/ big brake kits (slotted and crossdrilled).

Image
Leather shift boot with brown leather shift knob.

Image
leather-wrapped steering wheel, monogrammed "Z" floor mats, OEM bucket seats, and race-inspired gauge cluster.

Image
Wha's this undet the hood? That's not the stock L24 i-6... it's an SR20DET red-top, w/ GReddy intake manifold, turbo header, Greddy TiAL BOV, and a strut tower bar!

Image
Looks mean. No wonder I own one of the real ones!

So show me whatcha got, peeps.
Drive it like you stole it, and work on it like you married it.

Maisto, a japanese die-cast company. I found them new on Ebay for 20 bux each.

The Z is made by Jadatoys http://www.jadatoys.com

The Viper is Burango, another well-known die-cast producer.

Krack that's fawkin' awesome, I was going to customize the red one, too... I took off the exhaust and I was going to take off the spoiler and who knows what else.

It used to be the same one you have in yellow, ill i was able to do is paint and sticker it... I broke the doors and forced them up in the air and i stepped on the car to lower it. I wished i could buy a body kit for it and some other things.

<--- goes out side to step on his Neon and lower it

FAWK it doesn't work on the bigger ones! lol

Well it looks awesome, dude. I'm gonna try to fab up a custom lip kit or something, or remove the black grill plastic and crosshairs to stick in an IC... definitely changing the side skirts (I hate the flueted style ones the SRT and ACR have, I want something straight). Maybe some kinda EVO spoiler lol.

I wouldn't dare alter the Z, however. That thing is bad-ass already.

I have the exact same yellow one... only thing is, look closer at the engine bay. It acually has "2.2l" not 2.4l. They screwd up on that one.

IN that post at least it was better than some people from America.

I build plastic kits and collect 1:18 scale die-casts, I might post some pictures when I get everything unpacked from moving.
Justin- I have nothing but smart ass remarks to add.

I've got about 100 Jada Toys 1:24 cars, a ton of Hotwheels and other cars unopened in mint boxes. They are all pretty much all packed up from when I moved a year ago.

Wish I had pics. I've got about 8 right now that arent packed up. I'll see what I can do about pics.
