A Question About Tires/Rims.

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

A Question About Tires/Rims.

Post by popcornPIMPz » Fri Jun 22, 2007 6:19 pm

My question is, when you upgrade your tires/rims to a bigger size, don't you have to adjust something w/ the timing or something around there in order to let your car/speedometer know you got bigger tires/rims so that your speed is accurate? I hope I worded that decently enough that you know what I'm talking about, lol. Thanks for the help in advance. :)

if you get the tires in the correct size, you shouldn.t have much of a problem with the speedometer. when you go with larger rims, the tires are smaller, so the overall diameter is almost exactly the same as stock wheels. if the speedometer is off at all, it would only be 2-3 mph max. not enough to worry about...
