Mods in sigs disappearing
I don't know about the rest of you, but I hate it when people will post their dyno #s or 1/4 mile times, and when asked what mods they have, they'll say it's in their sig, or the link to their garage is in their sig. Then a month or two later they change their sig to something cool or remove it altogether, which is fine, or sell their neon and all traces of what was on it, but is it that hard to just copy and paste your mods into the post? I don't like having to ask people where they were at a certain point, since alot of the time they don't quite remember either.
"If you haven't bled on it, it's not your car"
I just figured out how to shrink them so they are their but not obnoxious. After that I like them better that way. Kind of need more space for list but it is cool.
I agree nice to see especially when you are trying to answer questions about a car like what sway bar end links or it keels over too far when cornering so you recommend some sway bars but they already been their but you never knew.
Like why is my car so loud, Oh forgot to mention the SRT4 cat back. UgH HUH!!!
If you use ["size=9] [/size"] around your mods listed in your profile (delete the Quote marks for use) you can shrink them so they are not the focus of the thread but easily available so that you may ask a question about someone's setup or when they ask you know.

Forgive me, but we have a limit to
how long
our signiture is. I've tried fitting all my mods into my sig, but it states that my signiture is too long. I do have a link to my myspace page. It describes more than what mods I have on the car...its me.
2003 Silver SXT - Totalled
2005 Silver Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Turbo -Daily
1990 White SR powered 240sx - My sliding slut.
I miss my neon at times. She treated me well and taught me a lot about cars in general. I will always have a special place in my heart for these cars. Heres to the 2gn community.

When shrunk down my sign just barely goes to a second line but no further on my screen. Whatever it is cool you learn to abbreviate and what not. Like I said it's cool no big deal. But a basic list is a nice thing so we don't have to traipsing all over the web. Or for some who have kids that don't want them on myspace have it blocked in the router so can be a small problem.
Just a thought. Mine can get shortened up for potential future mods but really at least the basics can be helpful.

I wasn't talking so much about keeping mods in your signatures (I'm going to shrink mine now, I just don't have any nifty pics.)
It was more along the lines of saying that, instead of posting your numbers and telling everyone to look at the mods in your sig, just post the mods when you are posting your numbers so that everyone knows that you have. In fact, I'm all for NOT having mods in your sig, just in the post where they are relevant.
And it might be off topic a bit, but I think it's somewhat relevant because it's good to know how others are doing with what setup.

OR... you could just stop being lazy and do it yourself by looking their garage, WWW, or link in their sig yourselfanomalous0 wrote:I wasn't talking so much about keeping mods in your signatures (I'm going to shrink mine now, I just don't have any nifty pics.)

Sorry, but your whole post made me think how lazy people are becoming... I have my times and dyno in my sig, and I have a garage which I spent a LOT of time on and I have a Cardomain website linked to my WWW in my sig, so use it!

Isn't this why we have the Garauge? A place to list our mods which are linked right under our avitars?

I don't mind going to people's garage. But more than once, more than twice, more than five times, I'll read someone's posts, and it says to check their sig for mods, and they've removed all links to their garage or any other place that might list them. That's what I'm talking about. I don't mind searching a bit, but when someone basically removes them self from the neon community (temporarily at least) all evidence of what they have disappears.

Well, I can see what you are saying there, that is totally different. Saying in your sig "check garage for mods" or whatever, then having no link is completely different. I was under the impression that you were saying that you do not want to go to those places to look and would rather have it right in my sig
I use my sig for other things as well as mod lists.

Yeah, Garage FTW. I got off my lazy ass and added in all the info, and everyone else should, too.
That's what it's for. Other forums would be so lucky to have such a kick-ass feature.
