2360 for a 2gn is good. they weight 2600ish, or a little more stock.

I weighed mine in the middle of winter and she kicked in at 3000lbs

The undercarriage was also packed with ice though.

I miss my neon at times. She treated me well and taught me a lot about cars in general. I will always have a special place in my heart for these cars. Heres to the 2gn community.

yeah, this is true. No radio, power windows, ac. Even still, that still implies a solid 100+ lb weight reduction after the fact. What exactly have you taken out?

Every 10 lbs are also good for apprx 1hp. This is good in any direction. Lower weight = faster accelleration, less suspension stress, and generally better performance.

If the car is designed well with the lost weight, it can be made to handle better. Since our cars are front heavy, relocating items such as the battery to the rear can help balance the car and improve its characteristics in the corners. Since the spring rates in our cars are lower in the rear, having less weight back there actually allows more spring travel (at the expense of a very slightly higher ride height).
