I BOUGHT A NEW CAR!

Post by Adam_T » Tue Jun 26, 2007 12:28 am

so today was the final day with my 05 neon sxt-4 (hehe)

a lot of you have seen my pics in the pics forum...it was a pretty nice car, but i wanted some more speed, but with better resale, and a shit load better of an engine.

ended up going to acura dealership and i got a sprint blue (very similar to e.blue neons) 04' Acura RSX Type-S.

i must say...it is fast as shit. haha. i actually creamed a lexus IS300 on the way home from dealership. It felt real good.

Anyways...pics will all be up soon. Its stock for now.

The Mazda likes the RSX Type-S she thinks they're tasty.

Just playing, good choice. I hope you got a good deal on it, mind if I ask what you got it for?

My thoughts exactly when I read 01WhiteNeOns post. :D
I don't plan on selling my car...EVER. So resale value is not an option.

I love RSX's though, very clean looking cars.

RSX is a great car for the money. It's not the bestest choice of all the internet, but it's definitally better than most any n/a Neon. SRT-4? It's debatable. At this point in my life, I would rather have a loaded RSX-S with leather and comfy features over a boy racer SRT-4.

Getting old sucks.

they are slow stock but do respond VERY well to mods....however if you wanted FAST you chose the wrong car.....they are fast, but there is definately MUCH faster for the money

the best thing about honda is the huge aftermarket and reliability....however, pound for pound the srt-4 is a better car IMO

You mean pound for pound in a straight line the SRT-4 is better..

RSX has the SRT-4 in just about every category cept the straight line speed.

(Interior quality, quality of parts in general, handling, etc)

The only thing that a rsx has got on me is interior. SRT-4's come with forged internals and a better built engine that can handle up to 24 psi with no engine work. If you boost a RSX then you maybe take it up to 7 psi without engine work. I am not say that we have the best engines in the world but dont be fooled just cause it is a honda engine. Handling........ well stock we suck but then again you have the acr suspension so they aren't all that great. Interior like i said is the fastest thing on them.....

i agree....the rsx interior is nicer.....i have friends with both built SRTs and RSXs and the SRT throws me into the seat much harder lol.....i think the RSX has a smoother launch, but the SRT with new mounts and tractions bars will launch perfect

im sorry but imo an rsx-s will own a neon/srt-4 in almost every way. only thing the srt really has is that it can go in a straight line a little bit faster, but shit put a few basic bolt-ons on that rsx and i bet it will give a stock to semi modded srt a run for its money. then throw a turbo kit on the rsx, and you will be getting into a whole different class. yeh you may only be able to run about 7psi on the stock rsx-s internals, but at 7psi you will be in the 300+hp range. where as it takes what 17-20 psi? plus other supporting mods/tuning to get into/close to the 300hp range on a stock srt-4 turbo. yeh you can get something much faster for the money, but the rsx is an overall great car.

Please show me were a couple of basic bolt ons can give an srt a run for the money. Ok........maybe if the srt driver only had 1 leg then they might stand a chance.

Charcter, thats something that only 1 honda I have ever been in had (supercharged NSX). I have yet to find a neon without some (You push too hard, it kills you) Regardless have fun with the new car, sometimes I would like to be able to run up to 10k (PCA auto-x mostly) I have never wanted a nicer interior (I wish you could buy a car today where carpet was an option)
