front and rear, i had to get a bumper for shiny tips or something, because stock 00-02 are on back order, as well as srt rear covers, I ended up getting a 00 stock front bumper because i didn't know which 02 front bumper to get, oh well. $650.00 total for front bumper cover, rear bumper cover and front license plate holder.

Wow, I'm glad that my dealership doesn't treat me like the ones that others here have dealt with.

You have bumpers on your car don't you? You just don't have the front fascia?

no front or rear fascia, and my license plate was in the drivers side window because the zip ties holding it to the rear bumper broke.

The tickets are for:

Registration - Improper Display
Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle

(both of those will be thrown out as long as I get bumper covers.)

then the second time I was pulled over:

No Vehicle Insurance
Suspended Ill. D/L (emissions)
No front or rear bumpers

(these should all be thrown out as well as long as I get bumper covers, this officer actually took pictures of my car. I tried to explain to him that I do have bumpers on my car, just no bumper covers and he retorted with a comment saying 'If you want I can throw in Improper Display of Registration to that', so I shut up and was just happy he didn't arrest me and let me go to my Dr. appointment.)

Why don't you have car insurance?

A competent judge will throw out the bumper tickets when you point out the bumpers in the pics the officer took. Considering there are jeeps that don't have doors, and convertibles, there's no reason why you need to have a piece of plastic covering a safety device (unless there's a piece of impact absorbing foam attached to the bumper cover, which there appears to be on the front of our cars). Shit, you can ride down the street with no trunk or hood around here and not get a ticket.

my cousin just opened up a body shop... gets body parts from different distributers within 24 hrs. and at way lower prices than a stealership. hit me up if you want them cheaper.

I have insurance, actually I have sr22 insurance so really, if I didn't have insurance my license should be automatically suspended. I just don't have a mailbox to recieve the new insurance card that I was supposed to get, so the officers saw my old insurance card. I have some temps printed out atm.

As for the covers, I purchased them at wholesale price because my roomate works at the dodge that I went to, and it's too late for me to buy them anywhere else!

I got pulled over on manheim road in dp, pretty close to that stadium place, forgot what it's called atm.

'bumper covers" you mean to say you had aftermarkets and they gave you a ticket for it? wow, I say f*ck Illinois ;)

Can't you just mount a plate to the aftermarket one?

Anyways, why didn't you just get stock ones off of Ebay???
Drive it like you stole it, and work on it like you married it.

meh, i got a rear bumper facia (paint in decent shape), the color i needed, from a salvage yard for under 200 bucks. i guess 600 isnt bad for the stealership, but im guessing thats only primed?

btw, you know i have seen primed bumper covers for like 60-70 bucks

I went to a few notable salvage yards here and they didn't have anything I needed. If they did happen to have a neon, the front and/or rear was all busted up. For brand new primed bumpers, they were both about $270 a piece wholesale and I also bought a front license plate bracket so I could mount the front license plate.

I have no bumper covers, stock nor aftermarked on right now, just bumpers.

I'd rather not get an aftermarket stock bumper cover, I've been told OEM is way better quality so I'd rather not pay for junk. I'm happy with the fascia's that I have, I'm just kinda bummed that I have to cut up a brand new front fascia (where the left fog light would go) just so the intercooler would fit. Oh well.
