Go up thru the trunk. My 03 SXT doesn't have anything over the speakers from the bottom so the screws and wires are right there.
Justin- I have nothing but smart ass remarks to add.

on 00-02 Neons....you can't go through the trunk....first you have to pull the back of your rear seat out away from the back deck(lift up slightly and pullout) then you remove the 4 plastic fasteners from the back deck(you'll see them) then slide the plastic around the seatbelts down the seatbelt. and then slide the seatbelts through the little slit in the back deck carpeting that you will now see. Next, just twist and pull the back deck out....

No, you don't have to remove them completely, but you will have to seperate the back seat "frame" from the back deck area by pulling up and away from the back deck with it. It's very easy, and very simple to do, and undo. Enjoy.

the seat back should have some torx bolts holding it in place, i know this cause i swapped seates with a 2001 into my 2002 and we had a bitch of a time gettn them bolts out, after the bolts are out it just slides up and out. kinda a PITA if you ask me.

I didn't have to remove seat, I just removed the childseat anchors, then the pulled up the material.

you could probably go get your "umadbro" polished up to make it look like a new comeback again
