RIP Chance Hausinger

Post by LowNSlow » Wed Jun 27, 2007 7:53 pm

Chance was a great guy... when my parents split up my dad dated his mom. They were pretty serious so I always considered him one of my step brothers... of course they split up later but Chance and I stayed in contact via e-mails/my space. Me, being Airforce him being a Marine... we were obviously not around each other to hang out in person lately... but he was a great guy. He would give anyone the shirt off his back...

Rest in peace my friend...

Chance Cody Hausinger, a resident of Webster, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the age of 23 years. Chance was born April 19, 1984 in Houston to Christine (Purcell) Gerstenberger and Glen Hausinger.

Marine Corps and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and as a youngster, Chance enjoyed scouting and camping.
Chance is survived by a loving family; his father, Glen Hausinger, of Friendswood; his mother, Christine Gerstenberger and her husband, Mike, of Pearland; his sister, Heather Wessels and her husband, Craig; and his nephew, Lane, all of Cypress; paternal grandparents, Bill and Ann Hausinger, of Friendswood; maternal grandmother, Della Bolt, of Pasadena; aunts, Della Stewart, of LaPorte, Henrietta Purcell, of California, Dr. Sheryl Hausinger and her husband, John Mulvahill, of Friendswood and Susan Tinnin and her husband, Bobby, of Friendswood; uncle, Billy Hausinger and his wife, Sharon, of Pasadena; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Sad to say... he just recently got out of the marines.

I was told he took his own life. He couldn't handle the things he has had to see and do as a marine sniper.

I could only imagine what he has been through....

I couldn't even begin to imagine what he had been through as a Marine sniper.
