Speaker Replacement

Post by zukman31 » Wed Jun 27, 2007 8:52 pm

OK I am wanting to replace all of my factory speakers in my 2001 Neon. Can anyone tell me the exact size I need to get so all I have to do is just replace them without cutting. I want a better sound, and all of the factorys are busted and sounds bad. What type does everyone recommend without killing my wallet !!!!

Thanks
Jimmy B..

I've always used cerwin vega and never been let down. Never blown one, either. I'm actually satisfied with the kickers that came with my car.

6.5's in the front
6X9's in the rear

Alpine or Infiniti from experience are the best

get some Pioneer revs...there probably one of the best speakers to run off of headunit power.

Did you have any problums with the door speakers? How did the aftermarket ones mount to the stock 3 hole-finger set up?

they dont, you can buy an adapter plate, or if you baught alpines they convinently come with them, without the plate you have to position the speaker and use self taps

I've had Infinity reference series speakers on my doors and rearside. I haven't replaced the tweeters up the dash. It's gonna be a bit of a pain removing the dash panelings.

Clarions sound great too so good choice.

teh dash is easy as hell to remove, you remove teh screw right above the fuse panel, one on the opposite side, 2 at the defroster hole, remove teh A-pillar covers and out pops the dash, the doors are even easier
