installing srt rear seat

Post by apk2k6 » Mon Jul 02, 2007 10:03 pm

I was installing my srt-4 rear seat tonight and I got to the end and ran into a small problem. The bottom seat doesn't want to go back far enough to snap into the black clips. I push it back far, and then push down, but the clips on the seat push the rubber things down through the hole. I'll get some pictures up in a little bit if needed.

Does it just require more force, or any tricky maneuver to get in?

Those are the rubber things I'm talking about that the clips from the bottom of the seat wont seem to go in to. Anyone?

make sure ur seat belt things are not stuck behind the cushion, make sure their above it..

number 2 u have to tilt it up a little like u do in the pic..push it back as hard as u can, then put it down,

also make sure u are on the side, and watch as u put it down...make sure it goes into the rubber thing right,, just shoving it down as hard as u can and hoping it goes in the hole wont work..
hmmmmm

What Justin just said, tilt upward, get your head down there, push back as hard as possible then watch as you bring it down and keep pushing until they line up in the holes.

Alright thanks, I got it in correctly. I worked one side in at a time and that did it.

One more question, are the 2 middle seat belts supposed to be upside down like that? I don't remember before taking the seat out.

Local J-yard. It's one of those parts noone thinks about stripping off the car so any Neon in the place will probably have 'em.

And my seat belt buckles are right side up also.

lost one once when i didnt put my back seat back in properly.. it got popped out because someone was sitting back there while i drove, and it proceeded to fall out onto the road and be lost forever... 7 bucks at the dealer for one.. kinda steep but hey, keeps your seat in place lol

yea so when you pull the seat belt cross body they will be right side up. If you look at the pic they look like they are right.
