Had to call 911 today...

Post by boostinss » Tue Jul 03, 2007 12:43 am

So me and 5 of my friends after wakeboarding today decided to go get some food at Little ceasors pizza. We met these 2 guys there which were both 26 years old..they started talkign to us about wakeboarding and stuff and they said they were going bridge jumping and asked if we would want to come also. Of course we did and we found this 25 foot tall bridge over a nice river to jump into. My buddy Does a backflip into the bridge and lands in only about 4 feet of water but sinks into the muck a lil bit so it didnt hurt to bad, so he tells us to go down a little bit on the bridge and jump into the middle of the river. So the guy that we met goes and he does it fine than i get up on the railing ready to jump but i hear his friend say he wanted to go first..so i saiid fine and he jumped in the exact same spot that i was going to jump. He hit a Jaged boulder just under the water pretty bad...he swam to shore yelling to call 911...when he was in knee high water there was a pool of blood around him..we all ran down there to help him get out of the water and when we got him on shore he was covered in blood from the waste down, my friend brian was on the phone with the police and they called an ambulence....We got him to lay down on shore and we got some towels to put some pressure on where it was all bleading...there was a major gash in his foot and his swim trunks were ripped where his tail bone would be and blood was everywhere...he told us that he felt his legs go numb and then he went into shock...it was probably the scariest thign i have ever seen...finally the ambulence arrived and got him into the ambulence.....We called later on to see how it went and his friend said that he has a completely torn his achilles tendon and other major tendons in his foot, he also has a 7in long gash on his but that is 3 inches deap and will need surgery on his butt and foot...The guy thanked us all for helping out and said he is greatful we didnt all just run away when it happned....

he could of been paralized easily or even killed.

Really opened my eyes to how fragile life really is and i gotta stop the stupid shit i do sometimes

There a river pretty close to here with traintracks and a bridge pretty damn far up and some ppl have died jumping into it but ppl still jump into it...

Its kinda funny when the train comes and every1 just starts jumping.
Glad to see your friend went b4 you but still glad hes not hurt very badly. :slap:

Yeah, that'll definitely leave a mark!... both pysically and emotionally. But at least you stuck together - remember kids don't do stupid stuff alone. Can't tell you not to do risky/dumb stuff - wouldn't want to be a hypocrite! Just do your best to plan an out. Oops! Sorry planning takes the fun out of it! LOL! But seriously, try not to ruin your parents day!

key words being nice river, not drainage ditch or stream lol. I hope that kid wasn't an athlete for real. he'll never walk/run the same again.
