Exhaust...
Exhaust...
I'm looking at soon upgrading my exhaust.... I can't decide on a few things.
Dual outlet or single (which side)?
3", 3.5" or 4" tip?
Straight cut tip end or slant cut tip end?
Rolled tip edge or non-rolled tip edge?
Polished muffler or painted black or silver (aluminum color)?
Black or silver paint on the piping?
I'm leaning toward a single passenger side outlet, 3.5", slant cut, non-rolled tip and blacking out all the piping and muffler.

I've had a similar question...
does anyone make a nice single outlet aftermarket muffler and tailpipe that just bolts on...axle back... comes straight back and exits out the drivers side?
Seems like unless you have or are planning to buy an aftermarket exhaust, it always has to be duals..or else it's rice or 'not cool'
not talkin about the big 4 inch fart cans, isn't there anything else?

2004 SE... doin it one piece at a time
I don't think anyone does a driver-side exit, but Borla does (did) do a axleback for the first gens with a very subdued pass side exit.
4" tips are pretty big, I have them. I hate the way my tips look. They are the thin wall, straight cut.
I LOVE 3.5", rolled edge, slant cut tips. And black mufflers. The piping you will probably never see (unless its an SRT exhaust like mine), so I'd keep it whatever steel it's coming in, preferably stainless!
I think my R/T tips were either 2.5" or 3", but they looked too little.
Duals on a Neon ftw. Don't mind my sig, the tips stick out incredibly far because it's a DCSports SRT-4 catback with a R/T bumper that got melted and is awaiting replacement by an SRT bumper lol...

Depending on your engine Borla has 4" tips for the SRT that are damn hot... the ones for the SXT are I think 3" but it is a good sounding exhaust.
my personal opinion is that the dual exhaust looks better than the single exhaust. good luck!

Everyone knows that for breasts to be "perfect" they need to be within reach.
4" tips, double walled, slant cut....that's what I got and I love them. You can check my gallery for a pic.

with those holes for the duel center exit exhaust not filled, i'd hope that's not someone's idea of a show car. w/ the apex'i that rear end looks horrible, and i normally like the kaminari rear.Pablodragon wrote:yea, thats what I see all over e-bay...N1, but I guess Apexi is the real one?
But If I even ask about that, all I hear is sounds terrible, sounds like a fart can, and "rice!"
...and wow, how illegal are those taillights?... or is that car for show only?
