Any motorcycle people on here?
Any motorcycle people on here?
I am thinking about buying this busa, but it has some damage. From the picture the lower fairing is cracked somewhat, and then the stator/magneto is damaged. Would it be a lot of $ in repairs for the engine? I am not too worried in the lower fairing because it looks repairable. Below are some pictures

can i ask an honest question without pissing people off? lol
are you black? i only know one white guy with a busa and he's not the whitest guy you'll meet.....busa's are big flashy bikes that really arent good for anything but going somewhat fast in a straight line.....they handle for shit and you can get a much better bike for much less money....if you want a big bike get an r1 or
zx-10r....both are much better bikes for less money than a big, heavy, slow, and ugly busa

lol white ppl ride em too. just with less chrome haha.
hayabusa--- big-yes heavy-yes slow-hell no ugly-opinion
arent busa's the fastest production bikes made? like 1/4 mile in the 9s? something like that.
btw, my buddy wants to get rid of his red and black hayabusa (he's white). pretty sure ud be able to just take over payments bc he's got bills to pay and stuff. lmk if ur interested and ill let him know.
First off, no, I am not black. I am aware that Busa's are heavy and lack in the turning. If I can get this bike for the price I want it would definitely be worth it. Right now I looking to spend about $400 to just buy it as is, then put about $1000 into the Stator/Engine and fairing repair.bad01neon wrote:can i ask an honest question without pissing people off? lol

Second, the only other reason I would ever buy a Hayabusa is because my brother-in-law builds race Busa's and he has plenty of extra stock and go-fast parts laying around.
Lastly, if I had my choice of a bike it probably would not be a GSX-1300R, but a GSX-1000R, or an R1. But right now I cannot pass up this possible steal.
BTW if I was black I would probably be pretty pissed off with your stereotyping.
^how was i stereotyping?....its not a stereotype....its true.....i know of two bike shops around here.....one in a predominately white area, and one in a predominately black area.....the latter has a constant stock of about 8-12 busas at a time and last time i went up there i asked the owner, "hey, why do you stock so many busas?" and he replied with, and i quote, "because we're in a black neighborhood and thats what black people buy" and the owner was black.....im not stereotyping anyone im just relaying a fact
as for your response....i did not know that you were getting it that cheap....if i were you and it has a clean title i would fix it up and sell it to get a better handling bike....i dont like going fast in a straight line be ti a car or bike, and if this is your first bike (dont know if it is or not) you will most likely bail....hard....the busa is too much bike for a begginner, again i dont know if this is your first bike or not

why does everything always turn into race.
Well atleast in the MD VA DC area i see just as many white people drive busa's as i do black's, and vice versa.
as far as your question should you get the bike?
Yea, it shouldnt be hard to repair that , a buddy of mine wrecked is busa (white guy named ryan) and his insurance company totaled the bike out, he went to this junkyard online that carries salavaged bikes and bought all his parts for it farly cheap, he even picked up a lowering kit for it and a performace muffler. I would try to price how much it would cost to fix it before buying to see where you would be at money wise.

im not stereotyping anyone.....jesus back the fuck off.....god damn its not that big of a fucking deal....not a word i said has any negative spin on it.....around here white people dont ride busas.....thats not a stereotype, its true....maybe around you its different, but i can sit in a parking lot in hyde park and watch busa after busa ride by all day and there's nothing wrong with that.....except that busas are only good for going fast in a straight line....doesnt that kind of defeat the purpose of a bike?

^ My brother-in-laws bike that he just sold. He was the owner, and it was raced in the AMA Prostar Race Series. Some quick details about the bike:
Carbon Fiber Fairings
Extended Swing arm
Turbo
It was running low 7's in the 1/4 mile when he sold it.
LoL I will let you ride on the back with meOpi wrote:With bad01neon.... 90% of his posts are stereotyping.
I've grown used to it.
And if you get that bike, I wanna ride it.
