Few new items going in soon

Post by kc2005ptgt » Thu Jul 05, 2007 3:33 pm

Since not everyone looks in the project progress log, I decided I would show off my new parts here... All this will be going on as soon as I find the time!! :( Just too much to do, and no time to do it in... So, on with the pics.

Current shot of my car, new ACR Logo stickers on the doors, and color matched fog delete plates.

Here is the big bomber that will go on soon, Fast Fabs LTH ceramic coated and 3" merge collector

Coming off of this will be a 3" exhaust dump, and QTP Electronic Cutout

This will all go into a 2.5" either Stainless or aluminized steel exhaust piping then into the stock muffler, unless I can find out how to roll the rear bumper and put on a single outlet high flowing muffler with a nice exhaust note - not worried about sound here in KC, the cops just do not care.

And here are the new shoes I put on last week. MAN these things are sticky, I love em a lot! BFG Traction T/A's

I am needing some new brakes and rotors soon, so I think I will go with the Ceramic Pads and better rotors - maybe power slots.

Car is coming together awesome! Those painted to match foglamp covers are nice. Can't forget about the g0-fast mods too. =)

I smell another KC dyno meet, then off to the track.

I've got Powerslots on my Miata and I love em.
I say avoid the ceramic brakes. I had them and HATED them. If you do ANY hard stops in your normal daily commute, or just drive fast, which warrants higher speed stopping, do not get them. They faded after 2 hard brakings for me. I almost went thru a couple stop signs it was that bad.
I took em off and they were barely worn (good) but were all cracked (bad). My boyfriend had the same thing happen.
I bought Hawk HPS pads and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. No fade and I even took it to a road course. I have em on the Miata, too. (I just buy lifetime Duralasts from Autozone for the rear pads)

As I said in the other thread... pure hotness.

At first I didn't like the color matched fog delets, but they've grown on me.

I felt the same at first - put em on, and was like hrmm... not sure how I feel about it. So, I left em on, and as time went by, I like em now. Thanks FTWNeon!

Also, I was wondering, this sounds ghey, maybe, but I think it would be cool.  What do you all think about replaceing that front RAM symbol in the grille with a Autobots/Transformer symbol? :D I know, ghey, maybe, but I htink it would be COOL. I just do not know where to find one......... If not the grille, than at least the steering wheel cover..... or both! :D

My wife said the transformer sticker is juvenile. :D I dunno, if I can find one, I might have to do it... maybe start with the steering wheel cover. :D

I bet the delete looks better than my broken fog!

Go with powerslots it cuts down on brake fad a lot! Only powerslot states in the install sheet not to use ceramic brake pads (semi-metallic only). i am using duralast $15 pads and the only problem I had was that after a year of autocross and track days the pads hardened and squeaked. But they were lifetime guarantee pads so i just brought them back.

also think about getting Russell stainless steel brake lines. I just got em on last week and I can feel a big difference

hrmm... after spending 55$ on the ceramic pads, what else as far as rotors would work well, and be a nice upgrade over stock?

And the SS brake lines sound nice  Got a link? All I saw were front disc and rear drum, which I need rear disc... would the SRT4 work on my car?

LINK!

SRT will fit. I'm currently running a set of SRT SS lines on mine. They don't look exactly the same as the stock ones but as long as you have the banjo bolts on tight, they work great!
