Mopar Lip Kit in CF

Post by rice_eater » Sat Jul 14, 2007 11:38 am

i saw how cheap blackrose is selling the mopar lip kits, so i started thinking about maybe picking up a few sets and doing them in cf.... could probably do it for about 400 give or take, which is pretty much what it'd cost to have them painted.... any interest?

that would look good with all the other cf products on a black car maybe.

But a little tacky if that was the only cf on the entire vehicle.

I think its a good idea for all the CabonFiber freaks out there.
and would look very unique if matched with other cf parts. :D

That said!

make the front lip in cf, and that be freaking cool!

well, i actually thought that a nice black all the way around the bottom of the vehicle could look sweet on any car... i dont know, i had requests for something like this from the srt people, so figured i'd run it by you guys too seeing how cheap the kits are at teh moment...

anyway, keep the ideas coming if you have any or any other suggestions

I think depending on the color of the car.... like black or graphite it would look good, any other color and I think it would border, if not cross the line of rice. I do believe there is such a thing as too much. CF included. Unless there is some defining benefit to using CF over the standard material.

oh for sure, it would only work on some cars, where it not only matches the body color, but the whole styling and feel of the car... i dont know, i dont judge or have any opinion about the parts i make... i simply make/ask about what i think you guys would want/need and what you ask me to make, so if this helps some of you cool, if not, then oh well...

OK Sorry about the bashing..it is uncalled of me....BUT about the kit. I tihnk that the kit would look AWSOME with a car with cf hood to go with it. I think if it was just a normal car with no other exterior mods it might not look right. To me it would kind of look like a car with an unpainted kit. But it may look awsome i have never seen it i dont know. BUT it would def. catch attention at car shows. But i think it would look best on a a car with a cf hood and trunk .......PROBABLY would look really good on tinks car and it would go with all his cf.....

OFF TOPIC:

I ordered alot of stuff from George all the way back in October. He just shipped my stuff last week after months of waiting. Heres the thing though, the whole time he let me know what was going, explaining how he quit school and how he took on way to much to handle. Never once did he have a tude with me, never once did he not responed to one of my PM's, never once did he ever tell me that i wasnt getting my stuff and never once did I not believe him. I understand what he was going through and I'm pretty sure he has learned from it. Now when my stuff shows up next week and it looks like poo, the we'll have problems but i dont see that happening. He is a good guy dispite what you might read on here or SRTForums. I plan on doing alot more business with him in the future.

Seriously, stop following George around and bashing him. Yes, you wont ever do business with the guy. We get the point man. Let it go.

idk that "might" look good...i think that will be too much cf.."yes it can happen lol"...i think the mopoar kit is small enuf that you will be able to pull it off..a whole body kit is huge compared to just the little lips...it is kinda like when ppl got the cf fenders..I mean cf is like gold and all to us car ppl..but it has to be in the right spots...

And sorry krack i will stop
