Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, beer in one hand, Jack Daniels in the other, body thoroughly worn out and bleeding, while screaming "Holy s*** what a ride!"

I'll sell you a leather jacket for very cheap...its not "motorcycle specific" but I always wore it in colder weather and on the track. I'm about 5' 10" and 160-170lbs and it fit me well. I'd rather lose $$ on it than hear about how you got scraped off the ground. PM if you're interested

the r6 is a 600, actually a 599. as far as you not going fast, that's only gonna last till the guys you're riding with hit 100+ and leave you behind. it'll happen. remember, most motorcycle accidents are caused by cars, not the rider. That's one hell of a fast bike to learn on. be easy, and have fun. don't do stupid shit like me. i just totaled a friends 03 r6 while making a stunt video.
you should check your local laws on the turns. they look hot w/ the front turn holes glassed over and painted. you kmight be able to remove all turns as long as you use hand signals. that's how va is. also, mirrors are ugly. head check ftw.

I remeber on a call once for a bike accident it took a line search of 30 in a wheat feild to find his head.

^pics?
and SONOFABITCH. i pulledout of my driveway, thought id open her up a bit..... and who just happened to be helping a broken down motorsit a lil ways down the road? a WSP officer. he didnt get a radar. he didnt know how fast i was going (i wasnt over the limit by much, maybe 5mph) but he flagged me to the side of the road. he could have wrote me for no motorcycle endorsement and towed the bike. but he was nioce and only wrote me for "speed too fast" and then explained wheat to do to get it dropped. he was a real nice guy. he also didnt even tell me to quit riding, just said not to do anythign that will attract attention to myself (such as hard acceleration)
oops. TiNK's bad.

Get yer license, dood! did you at least get a permit yet? IDK how it is there, but here the permit is a 15 or 25 question computer test, real easy.
How fast have you gotten her yet? I'm a speed freak, took my yzf600r to 160+ 3 days after i picked it up from the dealer, hadn't even broken in the motor/clutch yet.
I'm in the process of buyin parts to rebuild the r6 i just wrecked last week, didn't take the time to take pics before i started tearing it down to examine damage. gonna buy all the track parts i'll need later now with the extra money i'm gonna have to borrow to pay the owner for the bike
I wish i'd have aquired this one in a different way, but any r6 is better than no r6. and not having to tape/wire/remove stuff from my summertime toy to put it on the track is gonna be nice.
