going to get brake shoes

Have some questions about how to achive better handling and stopping power using different springs, upgrading to coilovers, questions on swaybars, bushings, different rotors, pads, ect... Having any steering problems or questions about steering racks, tie rods, tie rod ends, ect... ask these questions here.

ok i'm buying brake shoes today and i was wondering what all i need to do the rear brakes. I know i need shoes but should i get that all in one spring kit? What about lube?

If you have a nice amount of miles I would get the hardware kit. Things are known to brake and usually they arent more then $18-20

Get some brake part cleaner too and give everything inside your drum a good spray down. You might also pick up some "anti-sqeak" stuff that you rub on the contact surface of the inside of the drum. Good luck!

Perhaps during the process you disrupted the linkage from the e-brake to one of your rear drums. Follow the e-brake line back to where it connects to your drum and make sure everything looks normal. Perhaps buy a haynes/chiltons manual and look at some of the photos.

when i pull the ebrake it feels like nothing is connected. On the drivers side we disconnected it but on the pass. side we didn't.

Did you reconnect the drivers side? also you may have to readjust the brakes by turning the star wheel on the adjuster.
