Will a srt 4 throttle body work on a regular neon?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

actually, you can. with extensive mods. You will have to find appropriate bolts to hold the throttle body and spacer together. Then you will have to mill down the spacer outlet and give it a lip.

I have actually done this but unfortunately i cant find a spare srt throttle cable bracket nor can i find a spare 2nd gen neon one to hack up so i can finish my project.

I don't think you'd want to.......IIRC the SRT TB is the same puny size as ours, maybe only a teeny bit larger.
Wow, I love acronyms.

Its a bit larger, especially at the spacer end. The good side of the SRT throttle body is that it can be ported. An econo port job can bring you to 57mm at the inlet to 52mm at the plate. The spacer is 55mm. A serious port job and new plate can bring you to a true 55mm. This mod is only good if you can manage to get the entire throttle body assembly for cheap.

here is an old thread with some pics and more info. i am still looking for a throttle cable bracket :(
