Neon Hood Lift Gas Strut Shock???

Has anyone installed this on their Neon to take place on that rod to hold up the hood?
I saw these on eBay and was wondering if there is anything better or cheeper thaty anyone has installed.

Looks like a great product since its made for the Neon. I heard they weigh alot though... Thats whats keeping me from getting those things

How much could they possibly weigh, 5 lbs at the most?

I have a set of hood struts on my car. Check out my project log for pics (link in sig). They are not heavy at all. probably 5lbs max like you said.

Installation is very straight forward, BUT make sure you follow the instructions to the letter. If you measurements are off you won't be happy.

I like them a lot and would recommend them to anyone. The people at Redline Tuning are very helpful as well. One thing to watch is the orientation of the strut, but if you look at the pics in my project log you will see the correct orientation. It's not that big of a deal if they are backwards, but it won't slow down for the last inch of travel.

Lots of srt peeps have them as well... Check around on srtforums for more pics... I'm also thinkin bout getting a set for myself...
