On the other hand, both of my tickets come off in the next 6 months or less, so ill be home free in january! im stoked!
Lesson learned: dont drive stupid until youre old enough to afford the tickets.

I miss my neon at times. She treated me well and taught me a lot about cars in general. I will always have a special place in my heart for these cars. Heres to the 2gn community.

Being as old as the hills, resulting in lower insurance rates: priceless.

wtf how is this possible your not even that old. lolracer12306 wrote:I just got my insurance bill, $490 for an entire year bitches.

naw you tell them how much you drive the car and that changes your rate, i think im at 1500 miles a year, but they have the OD at 117,000 miles and currently the OD says 33,000 miles (give or take)....lolWenuden wrote:plus with hagerty as a show car you can't drive the car every day, only on the weekends, right?

It probably helps that I am still under my parents policy, but they are fully aware of me driving my car and how many miles I drive.
And when I get the Monte done I will probably go with hagerty, but I wont tell them 1500 miles. I'm gonna drive that thing.

I had been paying approx $1,100 for full coverage on both my 02 and my husband's Sonoma. Dropped coverage on the 02 since its not running and we're at $780 with full on the Sonoma and liability on the 95. I got lucky that both my accidents are now off the record and he hasn't gotten any tickets in several years.

a good way to reduce your rate to almost have is to only get third party coverage... i've never had comprehensive, just third party plus theft and vandalism.... the way i see it, that's just piece of mind if YOU crash into someone.... so dont crash, and you'll never have to worry about it! also, the fact that you now know that you absolutely CANNOT crash into someone, makes you a better driver imo, coz while you still take stupid risks, you dont take nearly as many... at least i dont....
Yes but in different states they have diff insurance laws. MI is a no fault state meaning even if I was at fault their insurance pays for them, not mine. Now they can sue my insurance for up to a certain amount but most of the time it isnt enough. Other states like IN if your at fault you pay for the other person, but if they dont carry collision you now have to goto court and settle it.

Re: Saving money is good!
no doubt, my srt w/ only 2k extra insurance is 400 every 6 months. I turn 25 TOMORROW, so hoefully ill see another drop on my renewal in AUG. not to mention its much cheaper to pay 6 months (or a year) at a time.KrackstaR wrote:I just renewed my car insurance with Hagerty for another year and last year it was $1200 for the entire year, (insuring the neon for $30,000) this year its gonna be insured for $35,000 and its only costing me $614.00 wooot woot hollla if ya hear mee![]()
