Hurst Short Throw Install Problem

If any of you guys install a Hurst short shifter, do not install the gold guard plate that come with it. If you do, it raises the shifter housing too high and the retant lever hits the bottom of the whole assembly and you won't be able to get your car into 5th and reverse gears, there's no travel to the right at all. So I just thought I'd tell ya'll that.

Otherwise, this thing is fuckin sweet!
