German Neon Meeting

Past weekend our annual Neon Meeting in Germany took place. Beside the German Neons there have been Neons from the Netherlands and Danmark, too. And of course a couple of US-Guys with SRT-4s.

when i went to Germany on an army trip, a guy i met, and a buddie of his both has imported srt-4's. Best looking car over there for sure.

Thanks for the pics bro.

That red srt is focking hawt, The others were real nice too but that srt 4 is giving me this warm and tingle feeling.

Let me ask you a question since neons are consirded imports in germany, do they get respected over there like the imports due here? Do the other tuners crap on neons like they do over here?

It was a very nice weekend. The dutch neon was absolutely hot. He reached the 2nd pleace in the category "Neon 2nd generation".
My Neon reached the 3rd - and the Neon from Dixi (picture) the 1st.

I want to know WHY hasn't a hood manufacturer made a hood like that in the US. I understand they are custom over there but it looks so good why can't we get someone to do that!!!!! I'd like to see an underneath shot of the hood

Manufacturer? Why? The hood from the Dutch is selfmade - and the engine underneath is stock.

Right.... a manufacturer here in the states. Do you just weld steel onto the end of the hood in the shape you want?? That's why I wanted to see and underneath shot of the hood

I'm too afraid to mess up my stock hood haha!

I did not count the vehicles but there must have been roughly 30 cars. Additional a Volvo V40, Ford Focus, Dodge Caliber, Chrysler Sebring Convertible (1997 or so) and 2 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible.

The red SRT-4 belongs to Jason Vick and is supposed to deliver more than 300 hp. Unfortunately he´s got a break down during our tour because his camshaft sensor failed and slowed the car down. Nevertheless we had a good BBQ and nice conversations.

Neons are rare in Germany and it´s hard to get stuff for your Neon. The biggest problems are the laws and rules that are restrictive regarding tuning your car. Nontheless German Neon Drivers are proud of their Neons. I mean America has a big self esteem but when it comes to cars most Americans adore rice. That´s so weird!!! Personally I´d never take a Mazda 3 or VW Golf or Honda Civic over my Neon.

Every SRT-4 gets attention in Germany since DCX never officially sold them over here.
