Inspired by blackrose, I made an adapter for a mustang throttle body (no, I'm not trying to sell them, and it was WAY more trouble than most of you would want to go to, but I'm broke at the moment). Got the stock bracket to work right, used a 1GN throttle cam and bolted it to the mustang lever using an old throttle plate. Just a hell of alot of pain in the A** quasi-fab type stuff. It all lines up beautifully.
Well, I finally got it working last night, and finally got the TPS wires hooked up properly this morning, but I have one question for those of you who've worked with this sort of thing before.
I have a hanging idle. A very odd hanging idle, for it only hangs when the vehicle is in motion. It idles fine when the car is stopped. This in itself is not uncommon, except for the fact that it hangs at about 3K. And it drops back down not when the vehicle comes to a stop, as is usual for such things, but when I apply the brake pedal hard enough. Does anyone have an idea what this might be? (there is a hole pre-drilled in the mustang throttle plate, could that have something to do with it?)

Problem solved. Changed the wiring one last time and let the ECU reset. Pictures will be coming as soon as I get them off my friend's camera. Pedal feel is awesome, like an 80's sports car (which makes sense since it's off, well, an 80's sports car). And it has a velocity stack, unlike Modern or Lorenzo's (admittedly much prettier) throttle bodies. I'm now getting the UDP check engine light in 1st, which tells me that I'm accelerating faster than I was.....

Thats one reason why I waited to post any info on it...testingInspired by blackrose, I made an adapter for a mustang throttle body (no, I'm not trying to sell them, and it was WAY more trouble than most of you would want to go to
The other reason I have not offered the "KIT" is due to the fact that I cant find someone to fab up the adapter plates fast enough. Long story short when I get time I'll be posting up all my info for this project online for everyone to try since I cant get the adapters made for the "KIT"
Anyways, you should of contacted me with questions about the setup too
For starters, the IAC motor gets sealed to the mustang TB with ford part number "E7SZ-9F670-A" gasket. The TB gets sealed to the adapter plate with ford number "E7AZ-9E933-B" gasket...that will help with sealing issues...
As for that little hole in the TB plate, it has to be filled in since it allows to much bypass airflow for the pcm to allow the car to idle correctly....
And as I mentioned before, when you do any mods to the motor like this TB upgrade, you have to reset the pcm for it to relearn the new airflow and idle requirements. The idle will be high(1500rpm) until coming to a complete stop for a little while until the pcm relearns the idle...
Any questions hit me up with a pm....

got it working, will eventually fill the hole, but I don't mind a 1500 idle while I'm coasting as long as it settles down. I used an entirely different approach. I took a nissan 240SX MAF housing, ported it out to 60mm (from about 54 mm), drilled some holes so it all lined up, bolted it in place with liquid gasket, angled a 1gn throttle plate and ground one half of it down so I could bolt a 1gn throttle cam on there, and bolted the other half to the mustang lever. Then it was just a couple leftover angle brackets from god knows what car to get the throttle bracket to fit, and more liquid gasket for the IAC. After a bunch of fidgeting with wires and resetting, it works. That's what I meant by it being more trouble than most people would want to go to (my way at least), and I would've asked for help, but I got impatient and decided to figure it out myself. I'm glad I did, though. Makes me feel accomplished. Me likey.
