Soak the hell out of them and sniff the fumes. Then once you become intoxicated, the tint will magically float pop up like a burnt piece of toast.

PM kc2002acr, I remember he had very dark tinted tail lamps, not sure if he just got a new set or what..

You could try sanding the tint off then buffing the lens back to a shine. That's what I'd try.

only luck i've ever had removing Niteshades, was to wet-sand the lenses first, and then polish them back out until they are back to red.. you will need more then just paint thinner to remove the stuff, it bonds pretty well.

no bull poo the best stuff to strip paint off is aircraft remover.......you can buy it at most autopart stores in the paint/sandpaper section, they sell it two diffrent ways 1-in a spray can 2-in a jug......for this i would just buy a can of spray and all you do is spray it on and wait about 20 minutes and then spray off

hope this helps and cost about $3

I also favor wet sanding as you have alot more control over the end result (don't know what will happen to the plastic with chemicals it may turn to goo also?) Then you will be sanding (or replacing) anyways. I'd start with 600 grit till the tint is gone then 1200 grit , metal polish and finally plastic polish. That worked well for removig the yellow haze from my GF's Sundance headlamps. Maybe not the fastest or easiest way but has a happy ending. Oops! nevermind I was thinking of the massage parlor!

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.
