DC Sports Rear Strut Bar Install Question

Hello all,
I got my MP DC Sports Rear Strut Bar and i tried installing it on my 2001 neon, but, it is too long. I called MP and they said that it will fit 2001's, but i'm finding that it isn't. The right side of the bar fits nicely onto the bolts but the left side is about 1/4 inch too long for the whole. I've tried pulling and pulling on the bar to fit but it just isn't budging. Anyone have any ideas?

You aren't trying to put it overtop the carpet and whatnot are you?

yeah stupid question but i'm just trying to narrow it down b/c I've never heard this

The carpet? I have to take the carpet out? Yes i took the carpet out!

The bar's right side holes are already down on the right side but the left is just 1/4 inch too long.

was your neon ever in an accident invovling the rear?

I have a DC Sports rear bar on my '01 R/T. Fits perfect. You sure they didn't accidently send you a front bar for SRT-4? Is it straight or does it have curves in it?

sounds like you need to adjust the one side and thread it in...

The DC Sports rear bar is non-adjustable, its a solid bar.

ohhhhhhh haha yea so then there is not much to thread haha...i would say you just wanna send it back and get another one...they should do it..i don't see why not

Did you try putting on on both sides at the same time instead of lipping on the left then the right?

Yep, i tried everything.

I called Modern Performance and they said that they've never seen anything like that before. I had to dremel the holes a little bigger and then it plopped right on.
