HELP can't start car

Post by Young Gunna » Sun May 22, 2005 7:36 pm

well as mentioned in my other post i had problems with fuses on my 2000 neon, more namely the "interior lamp" fuse was blown which resulted in no lights / stereo workin so i cnaged it and checked and everything worked
of course i checked without starting the engine

but when i did start it it just didn't
so i turn the ignition and i hear a slight sound but the started doesn't engage and so nothing happens
all the lights light up on the cluster as they would....

ive checked all fuses but will do again
i believe itmight be the starter relay....

what should it try?

If you hear the fuel pump, and all your lights light up, but the car won't crank, it is either the wires to your starter, the starter relay, or the starter solenoid.

*Edit: Actually, turn the key to the 'on' position until the lights get done with their self test. If the battery light stays on, it could be your battery. Might not have enough juice to crank the car.

Ya prob'ly ran the battery down working on the lights and stereo. Try jump starting the car or charging the battery before ya start chnging parts.
