Cold Start
those that have done the swap, does your engine take "a little convincing" to start when cold? or does it just rip right up?
Mine takes a couple of cranks to start. Nothing to long, but it does just start up right away with the turn of the key. Mind you this is only when the car is cold. Once warm she jumps right up. Any ideas on this? is this normal?
Oh... I don't know if this affects it, but I do have a CAI and upgraded exhaust on this as well.
Thanks

Everyone knows that for breasts to be "perfect" they need to be within reach.

Yeah... I was just wondering if this was typical of the SRT engine.

mine has done it a few times where it took 2 tries to get it started. it only did it every now and then, but then kind of turned into a regular thing. it ended up being my fuel pump/fpr. one of those 2. i put in a walbro 255 highflow and a brand new fpr, and it never did it again after that. im thinking my problem was it had something to do with not being able to build enough fuel pressure to get it started the first try.

0w40?
I know you can use different weights, but the engine says 5w30 (which I have in it). How does that make a difference? Oh, and I always wait for the pump to prime.

After doing alot of reading. 0w40 is what the SRT engineers originally wanted to put in all the SRT-4. Issues with availability at dealerships and costs are the reasons they went with 5w30
When I switched to 0w40 my idle became alot smoother, it was smoother through the rev band and my hard starts all but went away.. I will not switch back to 5w30.
The rest of my issues with HardStarts went away after the S3 install. As soon as I turn my Key the car fires up.

it's the gas or your fuel pump is dying.
Last year it was around summer time. It was pretty tough to start the car until fall/winter came. I had no problem starting the car. By then I switched over to a walbro 255lph pump.
this year i have no hard starting issues even with the summer gas.

It's the summer gas. Every year it seems like a lot of people say the same thing on SRTforums. Mine does it to. I just let the pump prime and that helps a little but yeah, it's done it from day one that I did the swap and a ton of others have said the same thing about theirs.
I'm thinkin about trying the 0W30 though... see if it helps too...
