A giant, smiling Lego man has been fished out of the sea in the Dutch resort of Zandvoort.

Workers at a drinks stall rescued the 2.5-metre tall model, which had a yellow head and blue torso.

"We saw something bobbing about in the sea and we decided to take it out of the water," said a stall worker. "It was a life-sized Lego toy."

A woman nearby added: "I saw the Lego toy floating towards the beach from the direction of England."

The toy was later placed in front of the drinks stall.

why was there a life size legoman in the ocean to begin with? I can't imagine any sort of situation that would warrant a large legoman to fall into the ocean....

maybe:
1. he fell out of his lifesize lego raft?
2. the saltwater made a normal legoman swell to ginormous size?
3. some kids kidnapped him from legoland and dumped him in the ocean?

is there a news article that goes along with this haha
