shifter cable question...

well umm on my srt swap when i went to start it my oil line blew and got all over everything in my engine bay so i cleaned up everything but now my shifter inside the car is a bit harder to move... im wondering did oil get in the lines of the shifter cable and make it kinda stick to the side in neutral or did just the first startup make the shifter cables a bit harder to move. anyone i can fix this? also my tranny had tons of oil on it also because when i try to throw it in reverse it wont go even when i throw it in first before.

The oil spraying everywhere has nothing to do with the shifting problems. Did you try to shift the trani before you started the car?
Did it shift fine then?
