Another HID ?

Ok ok i know theres been alot of questions about hids but im gonna break down and buy some....The question is should i go for 6000k or 8000k? i dnt car about the look i just want performance.....or can i go with the 8k and have a good look with good output?

your best light output will be around 4000-5000 kelvin. i think 4300k or 4500k is where your maximum light output is, and anything beyond that is where it starts to go down in light output and up in color. thus the reason why most mercedes, bmws, and other expensive cars come with like 4300k hid bulbs. around 4000-5000 you will have a nice bright white light. then at about 6000k it starts to turn teal, 8000k it will start to get more blue in color, 10,000k it starts to turn deep blue/purpleish, and 12,000k it is purple. dont ever buy painted hid bulbs (hid bulbs are supposed to be clear bulbs). those are fake as hell. the color comes from the kelvin rating. not the paint on the bulb. id say with either 6000 or 8000 you will be happy. with the 8000 you will be more blue. 6000 you will be more teal. either way though you will love the light output on them. it is going to be 10x better than halogen reguardless of your decision. once you go hid you will never want halogen again.

I would go with 6000. I have them and they are a nice bright white. My brother has the 8000 and they are to blue for me. A buddy has the 4300 and they are just to bright for just a drop in HID
