did srt swap now tranny wont go in gear
ok so i start the car then try to throw it in gear and when i push the clutch pedal all the way down i feel like a grinding feeling in the pedal then if i try to throw it in gear the jerks forward as if its not in gear. anyone have an idea on what this could be?

You got air in the line for one. Best wayt o get rid of it is disconnect it at the tranny have a friend pump the clutch peddle untell fluid starts to come out in a steady stream. quickly re-connect the line. To get the rest of the air out pop the top on the fluid resevoir and then pump the peddle like fifty times.lvlistchif wrote:well i unhooked the slave cylinder piece where the 2 lines meet right after the tranny. but now when i rehook them the clutch pedal wont get tense. just stays really loose no matter how many times i press it.
If this still does not work. There is one other method. Unbolt the plunger pop the top on the resevior then push the plunger several times against something have a friend watch the resevior to watch for air bubble to come to the top. This is not the preffered method as I have had trouble at times re-conecting the plunger with no air in the system the plunger is very hard to push in.
Second thing are you sure your clutch was not toasted. Sounds like when I got a bad used clutch.

well i found out that i accidently put power steering in the resovior so now when i disconnect the 2 lines down by the slave cylinder where the fluid should drain out when you disconnect it. well when i pump the clutch the fluid from the resovior dosent start emptying out. just stays where its at.
