Well car is pretty much sold...so what do i move onto next..
So my car is pretty much sold, i put it up at my house for 9,200 and a guy offered 9k for it.
Now for a new car i am either looking at a 2003 Eclipse GT or a 2004 SRT-4
I am very unsure which one i should get...i know the SRT would smoke the Eclipse but i think a Black eclipse lowered with some nice chrome 18in rims looks soooo damn sexy.
What are your guys opinions on both cars, i also do not want to spend 13,000 and wish i would of picked the other car
The 2003 Eclipse has 28k miles on it and they want 13k for it.
The SRT has 11k miles on it w/ salvage title and they want 11.5 for it

IMO; Third generation eclipse= chick car.
Congrats on selling your car though. I dont know much about salvage titles, but make sure the rebuild was a quality, professionally done job and not some hackjob.

I have a regular neon and my friend let me drive his srt4 a couple times.. every time i look at my neon i ask why i didn't get the srt4.
I would go with the srt-4, but make sure you have a personal mechanic check out the car before you put any money down.

Hellll no dont' pay that much for a salvage title. Go on SRT forums and look around for the guys selling their cars...you can get some great deals.
And the transmission in a lot of the 3rd gen eclipses are crap...

Can you even make a decision on your own? You know everyone here is going to say SRT, so whats the point in asking.
You need to pick a car that you would be happy with. If you like the eclipse get it. If you are comfortable driving a car with a salvage title get the SRT. Make up your own mind.

You should look around for something that you want and can afford. You should be making up your own mind since you will be driving not us.

well the eclipse gt w/5 speed is a high 14 sec car and an SRT is a high 13 sec car.
it wont be as drastic as going from a 17 sec car (your neon) to the 14 sec car (eclipse)

Of course, I would stay with a Mopar product (the SRT) but I don't know if I would recommend one with a salvage title unless you have it checked out first. Check on autotrader.com for cars from Van Horn Chrysler in St. Nazianz (is that close to you in WI?)- they seem to get a lot of SRTs in (I have talked with their service manager several times).

get the eclipse.....if you have a puss......total girl car....i cant remember what magazine it was but i'll try to find the article for you....they did a survey of the top10 chick cars and the 3rd gen eclipse the number 1.....if you buy that car i will need your address and i will mail you a box of tampons free of charge lol
do you really even have to ask? 3rd gen eclipses suck and are ugly as sin.....if you want an eclipse find a 2nd gen AWD turbo and you will be MUCH happier than that junk 3rd gen

wasnt your main reason for selling your SXT was for a SRT? so why not go along with your original plans....& i seen salvage title SRTs go for 7.5K around here, so i think that price is kinda high.

I'd go as far to say get the Eclipse becuase I don't want to see you screw up the SRT.
That's just me though.

No way to both. Try looking for something a little less chick car and a little less smashed and fixed. Steer clear of a fixed unibody car unless you are gonna buy it for $3000 or so and drive it as a local commuter.
Personally, in that range to spend, RSX-S. It's an all right car, a little chick like but it's not a Celica or Eclispe or Jetta. LOL
Check the insurace rate on the Eclipse. They are WAY up there for some reason. Even for me and I am almost 30!

Though I'd just swap in an SRT motor and tranny into a 1gn coupe for $5000 and spend the rest on suspension components and detailing so it looks super clean. Nice rims, maybe a tasteful body kit and some good projector headlights, and you've got something that looks damn good and will smoke the eclipse and the SRT. And no one will ever accuse you of having a chick car (yes I know the 1gns started out "cute", but have been shown to be anything but)
"If you haven't bled on it, it's not your car"
just go with an neon r/t and trick it out with engine mods......shiiiit. i'd buy an 02 Neon r/t and turbo it.....there goes ur srt-4 with none srt-4 insurance costs.

If you didn't live in the tundra of Wisconsin, I would say something rear-wheel drive would be alot more fun than an understeering FWD car. Who needs any kind of traction when you can get the back end loose and go sideways all over the road?
Go SRT4 though, just don't do what some 17 year olds would end up doing with it: try to race some WS6 LS1 Trans-Am with a 150 shot and wrap your torso around a telephone pole.
Stock 13 second car > most young drivers.
