SRT Stage 2 OBDII Emissions testing?
SRT Stage 2 OBDII Emissions testing?
Ok, I recently picked up a 2004 SRT with the Mopar Stage 2 set-up w/ toys on it. I didnt find out until afterwards that the stage 2 PCM ignores the downstream O2 sensor that monitors the cat. Now, I really could care less about that but since it was brought from PA to NJ I have to register it and get it inspected in the next month. And at inspection they plug it in to check for codes, and readiness status. Does anyone know if it will pass here in NJ? I know it will pass the codes because my CEL is not on. But with the downstream sensor bypassed does it automatically set everything to ready? or are they going to come up not ready causing me to fail? I tried to check with my laptop but I couldn't get it to connect (non-car related issue, tried on 3 cars and couldnt connect to any)

You'll need to get the code scrubber from N2MB (vendor on SRTforums) to stop the codes for Automatic Transmission. The Downstream O2 sensor won't set off anything during inspection. The Automatic Transmission code will.

*editted* Ok I searched and learned about what this is. I checked and sure enough I have those 3 codes. So I ordered the code scrubber. However when I checked the readiness it says ok for heated O2 sensors, but it says n/a for heated cat. converter. are you sure this will still be ok for inspection in NJ and that all i'm going to need is the code scrubber to pass the OBDII tests including emissions? I just want to make sure, because if there is any chance of it not passing for that then I need to let the dealer where I bought it know ASAP. thanks.

From Reading on the forums, the only thing that sets off the Inspection is the Automatic Transmission codes. Plus the code scrubber will erase/hide all the codes.
I live in Florida, so what do i know about inspection.. Cat? What Cat? lol

yea from what i've read it seems like those trans codes are the only thing that would cause me to fail to OBD test. I ordered the scrubber, so I guess i'll just have to put it in and hope for the best.
I think i'm going to need to look into moving down to florida in the future lol.
