It will prolly be possible, but with a lot of fabrication. Ive heard that there are issues with the it fitment issues with the k frame and tranny, along with it being a whole diffetent set up. Im sure it will be done, its just a matter of time on who is gonna be doin it.

I don't care about the SRT-4 Claiber motor. I just wnt that DMT-6 6spd in my car. I wonder if that would be more doable.

Just stick to fart cans, AEM stickers, and park benches bolted to your trunk lid for a little while while you learn the ropes, OK?

The new 2.4 world engine has 48 different size shims for the valve lash adjustment. I'll stick with the original and well proven 2.4 DOHC.

Plus it's an open Deck Motor and very unproven.. There's got to be a reason why they dropped it from the original 300hp claim.
To Get the Getrag 6 speed to mount up you'll also probably have to do alot of Custom work..
I personally wouldn't waste the effort Stick with the better and more proven setup. A855 with the NVG T-850

Ok so for the guy who asked, the motor will die probably within a year or so. They have stated it is a fully aluminum block and would have to be sleeved to bore. Not to mention the lack of info on the turbo system. Dodge doesnt hold back info unless there is good (LOL) reason for it. In addition, the SRT Caliber is puting out (LOL) an impressive (LOL) 15 sec time in the 1/4 mile. THAT is with a pro driver. So we can expect 15.5-16.0 realistically. Personally something a little more gutsy like the 4.0 V6 and the 6 speed auto from the Caravan would be kinda cool. But I will feel really sorry for the poor B****** who tries it.

I'd be more interested in seeing if the dual VVT head would mate to the SRT shortblock. I know nothing about this engine, nor have I even seen pictures of it, but the VVT combined with a turbo has got to have SOME potential.
I'm with whoever said they wanted the 6-speed in the Neon. That would be nice. As far as the NVG-T850, they hold up ok at best. The older 555/568 transmissions are what I'd call "proven". You'll rip the shifter out of the car before you bend one of those shifter forks, not to mention they're a more compact package and they even shift smoother! If those transmissions located the starter in the front instead of the back under the turbo, you'd see plenty of SRT-4 guys converting to the older transmissions, I guarantee that.

All I was saying is that in perfect conditions with the now stated horsepower 1/4 times are likely to be high 14's and Motorweek did a show on the Caliber SRT-4 and its best time with them was 15.00 so its still slower because of the weight which just plain sucks.
I mean I hate the Caliber, but I still dont want the SRT to suck

What I was saying, MotorWeek ran a 15.0 @ 99 in the Caliber SRT. With the Neon SRT they ran a 14.9 @ 99.

I'm pretty sure SCC said it'll get a good 14.5 out, which isn't too bad for what it is. My local dealer just got one, and I need more of a "wagon" type car anyway.

Yeah the hybrid thing just dont get it for me, one or the other. Dodge has got potential to make some of the most impressive cars out there, but they hold back. If the Demon is anything like the rumors I will own one. What better than a RWD 4 banger. And to beat its Mopar
