There's really no good reason. A bigger turbo would do the same thing without having so many possible points of failure.

that really was more of a "look what i can do!" sort of deal, there is really no point in doing all that work when you can net better gains through a larger single turbo.

Id stick with a large single turbo. Its similair to what RX-7 owners and TT Supras do. They convert to a large single turbo vs keeping twins. Just depends on what you really want out of your car.

I miss my neon at times. She treated me well and taught me a lot about cars in general. I will always have a special place in my heart for these cars. Heres to the 2gn community.

thats slightly different, those systems utilize two different sized turbos to gain low and mid power. running two turbos of the same size is effectively running one big inefficient turbo. the hot side turbine surface area rivals that of a T4 turbine and the compressors together still dont outflow a GT35. the dyno charts released for this setup looked like a journal bearing 60-1 but made less power. so basically they spool late as hell and dont make much power. so like i said it was more or less a "hey look what i can make!" kinda thing.

Instant Boost isnt always a good thing with driveablity. I have full spool around 2900rpms and that allows me to be able to drive around town without putting too much wear on the car. I love the powerband of a larger turbo.

But if you werent worried about driveablity then by all means.

i DO think that the power that that motor is putting out is WAY to much for the street though

the dyno's showed spool at 4.5k+ rpms, not exactly quick. the most this setup put down on a 2.4 was high 400s thats really not uncontrollable.

i know but that would be a waste of a good motor using that turbo on it. DCR just happens to be the one that makes both
