sorry fellas. you are so wrong on this one. I can understand that you want to cheer for your american hero but bisbing won the fight fair and square.
Lets dissect the fight down to the nitty gritty per fighter by pointing out their failures.
Bisbing.
- failed to land knockout strikes.
- too hesitant with strikes
- failed to capitalize on strikes with combinations and/flurrys.
Hamill
- Failed to land knockout strikes
- failed to follow through with takedowns
- failed to control bisbing on the ground
- failed to even attempt a proper submission hold
I have to admit, this was a poor performance for bisbing but it is still a win. He successfully countered all of Hamill's attempts to keep him on the ground. normally fights where you have one standup fighter vs a pure grappler end up differently. either a guy will get knocked out or someone submits.
Personally i think that Hamill is a great wrestler, better than coture and ortiz. I believe that the UFC has not seen a grappler of his caliber since Dan Severn. Unfortunately, he crashed into the MMA scene too quickly. He needs to learn to take greater hits and learn to finish his opponents while on the ground.
I have over nine years of MMA experience, training way before the UFC was even remotely popular. You have to learn to look at the details if a contest comes to a decision as close as this one. With all of this being said, we can rest assure that these two WILL meet again.
There should be more anger by the MMA community that pride is officially gone. Pride was the only major competitor to the UFC and had better fights booked and far better action as compared to the UFC.
RIP pride fighting championship.
