wrong. i have carbon by design s styles on mine and they fit. i did have to take a heat gun to it to get them to conform, but they fit.spencersummerfield wrote:if you get aftermarket projectors your eyelids will not fit. 2000-2002 projectors bulge and you will have ot get custom vinals

No offense, but you guys posting '03 pics aren't really helping him, since the '00-'02 lprojectors are truely different... even the light arrangement different... our highbeams are larger than our projectors, and the '03+ are the reverse in size arrangement. Might seem like a little detail, but I'm just trying to give him as much detail as I can here.
Ok, so for a quick eyeball comparison:
#1

#2

I have the #2. Here's my thoughts on both styles.
#1 has the LED's on the side. Some people prefer that. I might have, too, until I noticed the "style lines" that they use above the projector lens and highbeam to sorta fill in the blank area. That to me was a waste of space, so I opted for the other style, which relocates the LEDs to the top, spreading everything out nicer.
BUT... someone on here once commented to me in thread that if you plan to use eyelids of one r another kind, you might want the #1 style because you won't want to cover up the LED's, and won't care if there's unused space above the projector and highbeams.
So there's arguments for both.
My suggestion is to go with #2 unless you wand eyelids, in which case use #1. The other thing tho that I DON'T like about #1 is the turn signal reflector. The one in #2 is larger, and comes with an additional parking light you can wire up with whatever color bulb you want (see my last pic).
BTW, here's some pictures, including some of the lit LED's on a #2 (click picture to enlarge):

As far as the projector beams at night, both #1 and #2 are identical in specs.
On a personal opinion, you have a red car, and I think chrome would look kinda cheap on red. Chrome IMO looks good on silver cars and black, but not red. I've seen a few 2GN's with chrome tails and one red one with chrome projectors, looked like crap.
Not sayin chrome projectors look bad. Just depends on the car color. I mean I like glasswars' car and his has chrome projectors. But his car is black, not red. Just my thoughts on it.

What is the purpose of the Halo rings? Aside from wiping out all the flood's food supply. XD
BTW wouldn't these modern projectors be screwed out of a turn light if they had eyelids? or something?

thanks for all the info its great stuff i hear you about the chrome. ya my car is red but will be blue one day and i like the #2 but like you said if i put #1 then i could use the eyelids but if i ever decide to take the eyelids off i have headlights i dont like but then with the eyelids and the leds on side i could then hook them up to the turn signal. how bright are the leds im thinking the leds on top and the eyelids no led lights to be seen but when the turn signal flashes a nice blue glow flashes over the chrome so many ways and this is why im confused
Depends on the kind of eyelids you get. I don't think it will be a nice, even glow, but end up being more of a blotchy one, so I don't recommend it.
Worse comes to worse, you can unplug the LEDs.
Anyways sounds like you have the info you need, and you're doin the same line of thinkin I was
Good luck and post pics when you install them.
On a side note, hey Jeff -- take those better daylight pics so I can see!

yea I was bored when I paint the insides and made them... They weren't actually hooked up, I just like the look of them inside the headlights...evilneon02 wrote:z3roneo

Judging by those pics....
If someone REALLY didn't like the LED's, You could get the "top mounted" lights, and use either a shorty style, or "S" style eyelid to cover them....
It may cover just a tiny bit of the upper edge of the high beam reflector, but could look pretty good IMO...
On that topic, anyone have a pic of either black or silver projectors (00-02 only) on silver??
