coke

Post by bstc00 » Thu Sep 13, 2007 9:45 pm

COKE

#1. In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of

Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke
and it will be gone in two days.

#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the
toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour,
then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes
stains from vitreous china.

#4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds
Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

#5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of

Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

#6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola
to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

#7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into
the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake.
Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the
drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

#8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the

load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle.

The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road

haze from your windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

#1. the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid.
It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric
acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major
contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.

#2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup! (the concentrate) the
commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place
cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

#3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean
engines of the trucks for about 20 years!

Similar pepsi uses more syrup and less acid.

There was a song back in the 60's by the Fugs called "Coca-Cola Douche" but I seriously doubt that this would be a good product to use for that purpose. :D

mentos and diet coke a great toy...to play with at someone else's house. my nephew tried it in our garage, and now i have an entire ant colony living in my stuff.

but yeah, coke and cat litter on grease stains on a driveway. works better than anything i've evertried.

1st season of mythbusters did all of those. I think the blood worked but nothing else except the battery but any liquid will do that.

phosphoric acid is also used in making crystal meth :D

my dad used it in his business to restore metal -- car bodies, removing paint from metal, etc...

That may be becasue the nail was a galvanized. (coated with zinc to prevent ^). Perhpas try a screw bit or a chunk of rebar.

:owned:
lol.

P.S. The acid in Coke is diluted by the water (ionized), but it is still acidic. Water has the same affect on metal, combined with air, its called rusting. I think there are bigger things to worry about in life than the acid in Coke.

I knew there was a reason that I stoped drinking soda or pop depending on where you are from.

It's a horrible thing to drink... it's been a few months w/o that crap and i'm proud of it

^Good way to lose a quick 5-10 lbs too. I cant stop drinking soda, I rely on the caffeine way too much. I take a caffiene pill every day before school and have at least 2-3 sodas throughout the day as well. Heart failure here I come.

Oh and  at titans last post
