Greyhound Shipping

Post by Adionik » Sat Sep 15, 2007 5:21 pm

Okay, my situation is this.

I bought an SRT-4 rear bumper. It was shipped from MI to me in TX. Now greyhound says it's en-route...it's now been exactly 10 days since it left.

I understand it's a big package and all, but should it have taken this long? I filled out one of those tracers and shit but nothing seems to be happening and the people at greyhound REALLY dont give a shit.

does anyone have any connections or know what else i can do aside from waiting? :banghead:

It takes a long ass time to ship through grey hound. About two weeks usually. Just wait and call them from time to time.

It's cheap shipping for a reason.

That sounds about right...i'll give it another week. I'm filing a claim so I can "speed up" the process.

Just be happy its not UPS, I shipped a package through work valued at $350 in parts and it was scanned in at erie ontario and UPS's response is "I dont't know where its at?"
I shipped a package a few weeks earlier to the same place through USPS and atleast that $650 package made it!

i worked at UPS as a loader...... big packages were fun to kick. especially the moo cow Gateway computer boxes..

no joke either

when i was training the supervisor trained us to make a box fit into a hole in the wall of packages, and he demonstrated by smashing up a customer's box so it would fit.

Has Greyhound provided you with an in route location of the bumper? When was the last known location of the bumper?

they don't konw. i've talked to managers from their hotline and everything. it's been "in route" for 2 weeks. i have a tracking number but apparently it's a paper tracking...not through the computer.

i am gonna try and fill out a claim tomorrow or tonight

lol not having a bumper has nothing to do with you reversing into a dumpster. try being more careful with the loud pedal and using the rear view mirror. good luck with greyhound, sounds like you're getting screwed. paper tracking? wtf is that roflcrapter?

I've sent some large, fragile aircraft parts via Greyhound and have never had any problems or damage.

Wow this is the most ABSURD amount of bullshit i've ever had to fucking deal with!

Fucking greyhound is saying that if they don't receive confirmation of my invoice by december 2nd, their final review they're going to drop my case, deny me reimbursement for my money and fucking stop searching for my package.

At which point did I become the fucking enemy to this fucking stupid company? They throw me the run around and i'm on the phone with these guys for almost an hour, all of which telling me that greyhound is going to AUCTION OFF MY SHIPMENT if they don't get their information.

Fuck man. That's the last fucking time I EVER buy a bumper or anything big over the internet. I'm going to lose out on $200 dollars for doing NOTHING! I should've spend $50 bucks more and got the godamn thing at the junk yard.

what's BS is that guys like jT treat our packages like shit when we've worked hard to make the money to buy something only to have it arrive beat all to hell.

Contact a lawyer and see what they can do for you. It might be worth it for them to just write a threatening letter to them to help you get your money back, at the very least.

USPS ftw. Greyhound's gonna take forever since they do a lot of stopping.

Which is why I don't ship any of my shit using UPS. I've seen it happened before and I'll never go there for shipping ever again.

That is a very good idea.

My dad contacted "our" lawyer today...(I think everyone thinks they have a lawyer)

But hopefully this will get resolved and everyone will be happy. I don't blame the shipper because shit, I would have used greyhound too if I was shipping something this big.
