They're great road trip cars but the 41TE trans sucks ass. The spread between the gear ratios from 1st to 2nd is huge. Iam hoping the firmer shifts that are supposed to be granted by the sport switch mod will help that. One guy said he got a 2nd gear scratch from his from just that mod.

eh idk I saw a turbo'd one before with the 2.4, i dont like the way they look personally, but you never know, I heard the PT has a stronger clutch than the average neon as well.

I can't post any pics right now. I gotta find some place to host em. the ride is down right now til I get my tranny. I hope to have it replaced by next weekend. Yours truly did one too many peg-leg burnouts before finding out just what could happen if i kept it up. I stopped doin em but the damage was already done and last week, on the way up to Tulsa, my diff pinion pin came flyin out through the case and destroyed my tranny.

Oklamopar - have you posted on my other thread on TD.com yet?

I gotta put a tranny in it. When I get my trans put in, i'll post pics of the carnage. You'll like the hole in the case.

This is the only pic I got of my "Yawn" for now. I will have more after i get my tranny done. When i took that pic, I had my buddy's 454 BBC in the trunk so it looks like it's lowerd but it isn't. I was joking with people all that night that I had the only neon in OK with a big block in it, lol. This was also before I took off the hub caps and the night after I took it to thunder valley here in OK. This the The Yawn's good side. The other side has slight damage. I'm gonna have to replace the dorrs (they got ripples in 'em) and put it on a fram machine but it is all very slight.
