Dyno Questions
Dyno Questions
I am probably going to my local dyno meet this weekend, and I had a few questions.
First off is it bad for your car?
Should I run the dyno in drive or 2nd? I will get three pulls..
And, what kind of numbers am I looking at?
Thanks guys,
Kyle

Do you have an ATX? I've always been curious how you dyno an ATX as well.

its just as bad for your car as running out a gear.
for the 3 speed i would dyno in 3rd (D) but if for some reason you peg the speedo then 2nd would work.

What they do in the Automatic car is put it in D and then get up to a certain RPM so it doesn't down shift.
Dyno's are just as bad for your car and driving up to 130mph and hitting the rev limit in 4th.

how stock is your car as far as engine goes? I am curious to see what your numbers are through an atx
I notice you only have a KN dropin filter and a catback exhaust --- is ti 2.25 in or 2.5 in? Stock muffler? Anything else done to it? Just curious. Oh, those CF Altezza's should do a bit more awhp as well

I am sort of doing this for fun. I am going with my school' s car club(Only $25 for 3 runs, a/f ratio reading, and printouts), and some of the cars that are going to be there are monsters. Hopefully I can get some good vids for you guys of the other cars and mine. As for my car I am just looking to break double digits
I made only 103 WHP
I ran in 2nd gear because I was running out of MPH in the D and it was downshifting. Here is a video of most of the cars that went:
