'01 2.slow 5speed. Popping noise...

...when wheel is turned all the way whil vehicle is in motion. This is not a CV axle type of popping. No *clack-clack-clack*. This is one solid *POP* when I turn the wheel all the way one way while moving, usually while parking. Same happens with patial steering input at greater road speeds.

I need to know what to check. There's no grinding like a steering rack.

Could possibly be a worn strut mount. My mother's 96 Stratus did the same thing. Installed a new mount on the existing strut. Problem solved.

Naturally, check everything. Loose tie rods, loose strut-to-knuckle bolts, etc.
