How many of you have Verizon?

Post by Diablo0 » Fri Jun 03, 2005 10:53 pm

How's your coverage in rural areas and such? I just switched over to them today b/c well... T-Mobile sucks for coverage. I take some really fucked up trips to weird out of the way places out in the middle of no where like places in Pennsilvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Wisconsin... and some other various places around Cincinnati where family trees don't fork.

Just curious how good their reception really is...

Well, in the bay area, verizon is pretty damn good. Much better than cingular/AT&T/T Mobile.

Yeah thats what I don't like a whole lot either but I've gotta have better coverage. I drive 15minutes away from my house into Indiana, then go about 4 miles off the interstate and I don't have ANY coverage.

I told you it was pretty good out here in the valle too. Ive never had a problem.

Beisdes, you dont actually *talk* on the phone anyway. Minutes arent as important as the text messages.

When I had Verizon last, about 5 years ago, I never had a signal anywhere - But I hear that all changed now. :) Just keep your eyes on your cell bill, I know they sometimes like to get a few extra dollars than they should. I went a few years without a cell phone, but within the last year, I got a Virgin Mobile phone and I get coverage everywhere but my house, because my back yard is Lake Erie.

Jason
I changed over from Verizon to Nextel a couple weeks ago.

Verizon had decent coverage here in N. Ky. but there were some roaming and call dropping isues..

I primarily got Nextel for the direct connect feature.

Verizon(Moto v60, tried 4 diff phones including the 7510 BB) for the work phone... sucky imo

Nextel (currently BB 7520) for personal.. it's ok...
