Door Moldings Removed (56k Big No No)

Well I just want to say that after all of my hesitation about doing this... I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Pft! 7 year old paint and tender loving care all those years, everything worked out great. No fade, bubbles, marks of any kind. Just smooth and silky, yea! As you know by now I'm a proud owner of Plymouth and the badge stays on in it's current location, until I can re-located it where I plan on. (Some of you may know that location by now.) I hope you enjoy the pics.

nice. how did u do it? i was planning on doing that next but after taking the emblems off the trunk, it left slight marks where they were. kind of like ghost outlines. i used goo gone btw.

Lucky bastard!
I took mine off after 84k miles and i have huge bubbles and fade marks all over.
I think taking off the moldings is a toss up, ive taken great care of my paint.
Looks good on yours though!

ya u live in cali ur lucky try that in canada and ud have to repaint ur car. i did my moldings and badges and i found the badges left a faded mark but the moldings nothing so...

Thanks for the comments... Yes, I know that I'm a very lucky old dude! Living in Calif. and sharing a one car garage with the wife's PT Cruiser 50 - 50, not to mention I do have a Mopar car cover that I use a lot, washing and waxing all the time, all contributes to the condition. Believe me I was extremely leery of this process, but I just got a wild butt hair last weekend and bit the bullet. I took my time, drivers side one day and the next day the passenger side, about 9 hours in all. Just so you know I used a hair dryer (lowest setting), very fine fishing line, turtle wax - bug and tar remover, polishing compound, polishing wax, 100% carnauba wax and a lot of elbow grease. I'm not saying this is how anyone should do it by no means, just the way I did. Some one was looking over me (If you know what I mean).

Other side? Screw a ticket, I would much rather take a road trip. That way you could see my baby in person, and I could see Blu as well.

I mean WTF is going through some peoples minds.
