how to tell what gearing is in your trans?

how to tell what gearing is in your trans?

how can i tell for certin if the tranny is a 3.94? i mean the first gens? is there codes or numbers on them? if so where would i check the numbers? and where would i find them on the trans?

Where'd you find the chart ?

My car is at or above 3k at 70. I always assumed it has a 3.55, but that seems a little high to me.
