This is by far one of the nicest concept drawings of the neon/sx/srt4 that I have ever seen. I wonder if anyones attemped the look or going to. Theres a thread in here talking about wide body kits....if anything I say this is the kit to go with, does't exist? NO worries with the right amount of money and patience, it can happen. Plus the scoop on the roof would be amazing if it were funtional too.

If it ain't broke...........it ain't a Neon.

This was a protype drawing a vender was mocking up on SRTforums a few years back.
Needless to say, the scrapped the idea and it'll never happen.
That front bumper has been mocked up in real life a few times though.

the spoiler, maybe from the back it might not look so good, but side angle looks sick. Question though, why did they scrap they idea?

I tried to find the thread and no go... try search for a few hours over ther for "wide and body" see what you can dig up.
I don't have the time right now sadly.

what the h*ll does a 'functional' roof scoop do?
does it channel air into the interior for the driver?
..I can see a roof scoop on a mid-engine car like an MR2, but why.. functional or not... would you have one on a front engine car?
2004 SE... doin it one piece at a time

Looks terrible if you ask me. Should definatly be left as a concept design.

that, or i know that they're used in rally races to keep the driver cooled down. you know, being gutted and all it's an easy way. and i don't think that a pro rally race team is poor so there's a perfessional setting for them

Well, I know a body shop that was doing a SRT-4 with that same design in Southern california. I can give them a call to see what happened with the project. If I can get some pictures, i will

I have that poster hanging in my garage!

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you're going when you hit the wall, and torque is how far you drag the wall with you.

The car would have to be shaped completely differently. Even then, the hood scoop isn't functional.

If you guys drive a neon without A/C and you have no way of opening the windows i bet ya'll would love a roof scoop! and yeah roof scoops are poor man's a/c for track cars.

Roof scoops are designed to be hooked up to the drivers racing suit. It helps channel air in the suit to keep the driver cool. IT helps alot when its 100+ outside and your wearing 4 layers worth of clothing to meet regulations to compete.
