PS My trunk is rusting real bad (lower right side closest to the rear window). Dodge said they wont do anyting about it, period. That was way back before my warranty ended and I can't stop the rust. Any one live near a junk yard that has a black deck?

the trunk i swapped for did the same thing but on the side I just grinded the HELL out of it all down even on the rolled part and put super strong primer over top, (stuff used where windshields stick to urathane, it eats paint usually)
so far so good

Looks good... I did the same thing a month or so ago. Got my trunk lid carpet at the auto wrecker for $5.00... it was just like new.
Looks like you left your inside trunk release under the carpet. I arranged mine so that it is on the outside of the carpet.

That one little peice makes a huge difference. It looks so much cleaner, I don't know why Dodge decided to get rid of them. I think I picked mine up for $10.

I have some trunk carpet! Got it for $50 shipped. (we have next to no junk yards with 2nd gens here.) Also have a rear strut tower bar that classes the whole trunk up.

To save assembly costs per vehicle. Dropped after '02 model year (along with illumination for switches on the front passenger door and the driver's side power window switch).
The part number, according to the paperwork from when I had mine installed at the dealership last June, is TN46VXLAD (PANEL). The list price was $94.59.

^ You sir are a festigeo...

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you're going when you hit the wall, and torque is how far you drag the wall with you.

The sad thing for most of us is having to put in, at our own expense, what DCX de-accessorized over the years. Of course, these deletions are what caused the "Neons are cheap" sentiment with the auto-buying public.[/rant]
