Put jack under the motor. Give it a couple pumps so it's supported.

Undo the top Motor Mount. Insert the insert into it. Put the Washer on the outside making sure it's the right size. One washer is larger and it's for the lower mount. Put it back together. Tighten everything up.

Jack car up and put jack stands under it.

Take Passanger side front wheel off

Take the Splash Guard off. 3 bolts near the fendor if i remember correct.

Put jack under the motor again just like in step 1

Under the lower mount and do exactly what you did when installing the upper mount.

put it all together..

Sounds about right...

You got the REx inserts right? I have them as well. On my Car ('02) they slid into the gaps fairly well. on my Bro's '05 it was a very snug fit and required some lube and a small C-Clamp to get them in.

Just make sure they are seated fully flush on the inboard side, and use a washer on the side that doesn't have metal covering it already.

Made a huge difference in wheel hop when launching.

To clear the metal piece thats in the center of the mount where the bolt passes through.

Just curious... why do you have to support the motor? The motor mount inserts go into the two mounts that don't bear engine weight, only torque while driving. I did mine one at a time with the car on the ground and nothing under the engine with no problems.

was gonna say, the motor isn't beling supported by those mounts, its supported by the mount bracket on the timing cover. those 2 are essentially bobble struts.

when i did my prothanes on the sxt the motor deffinitely shifted down a bit when my floor jack lowered on it's own a little bit. it only takes a few seconds to pump the jack up, why not do it?

Because the engine moved when taking the mounts out. and I used the Jack to realign the holes.

I've heard prothane has a tendency to squeak more so than the energy. Either one will be fine, just make sure when you install that you lube them up well and pickup a touch if you don't have one b/c you'll need it ;-)

Just sent off a M.O. to Morpar Johnny for a set of his transaxle inserts to go with the Prothane Race Motor mounts I installed.
It's coming together one piece at a time, one mod at a time. Hopefully I'll be ready in March to take it to Friday Night "Run what ya' Brung" at the local 1/8th mile.

um are you mistaking his shifter cradle bushings for a trans mount insert, or am I just misunderstanding your post?
