Make sure you pressure test it or you will get some crazy idle/noises

i did a leak test with water by plugging one of the two fittings and filling it with water and letting it sit for about 4 hours. if water can't find it's way out in 4 hours then there's no way that air can

the Bwoody catch can is actually where i got the idea. i think they look similar in the facy that they're both sealed boxes and i used the same sized barbed fittings

I like that spot, especially with a flat black can. What you could also do, if you wanted to do a revision would be have the inlet on one side and the outlet on the other side. It would minimize bending of the hose. To combat the potential for oil to go directly from one to the other, a small piece of sheet metal could be put inside to divide the can. It wouldn't even need to be the entire height, probably just a few inches would be good.

actually, it is kinda hard to tell in this pic, but one fitting is on the back side, one is on the left side

ok, well this is only half of the set, haven't made the other half. my other pic won't upload for the life of me. i put it on for the 20 min. ride home from the shop. it was REALLY loud. in the clip you can hear the whining. i think that's cause there's no rubber dampeners at all. but that didn't bother me so much as anything that's not bolted down in the car made a slight buzzing sound. i think that i can accelorate alot faster with it in though... and i can roast 'em through 1st and part of 2nd and yes i know i have a CEL on in the clip... it's some dumb O2 sensor BS

that's the problem that i ran into. i don't think that anything bad will happen... just be loud as hell. i'm thinking about puting in some rubber gaskets anywhere i can to help reduce the noise. also these will probably end up being full race... not for the street... i don't have any issues swapping them in for a fun time though. it's not like it's hard

It might vibrate like hell also. The rubber bushings help reduce that amount of vibrations that are transfered from the engine to the body of the car. However, our 2.0L engines are not that powerful, so it might not be too bad. If it were an SRT-4 then I might start to worry about virations.
Good work BTW!

you better believe that it vibrated like hell... and i found out that the 2.0 is powerfull enough to roast 'em into 2nd... with the solid torque strut... and that's only one of them. i will probably be mocking the other one up next weekend

ok, so tonight at the shop frickin blew. i decided to try my skills at a strut bar. yeah, some shit's just not possible without the right tools, no matter how much metal you have. so i'm gonna pick up a plasma cutter this some time this week. probably friday cause i get paid thursday night. so things are looking up for a strut bar next weekend. after getting really frustrated with not succeeding with a strut bar i decided to scrap my current 100% solid mount and work on one with some vacuume line as a makeshift bushing. this is going to be version 2.0. i've been talking to some rubber companies and seeing what sort of deals i can score as far as mass ordering REAL bushings. stay tuned for more updates. oh yeah, and i'm officially 20! whoopty frickin doo. 20 sucks just as bad as 19. still can't hit up a bar.

what is the purpose of a catch can... ive seen such threads all over the place but they all assume that you will know wtf it is in the first place :p
i read one thread that said the catch can will smell like ass... so why would anyone want one? :p
